[HST]: likely cva by history; neg CT [SAS]: as above CAROTID DUPLEX ULTRASOUND COMPARISON: none FINDINGS: Gray scale, color doppler and spectral imaging were performed. Images submitted electronically. RIGHT SIDE: There is moderate calcified plaque in the bifurcation and proximal internal carotid artery with no evidence of hemodynamically significant stenosis. Maximal PSV in the internal carotid is 52 cm/sec. Normal velocities in CCA and ECA. ICA/CCA ratio is 0.8 There is antegrade flow in the vertebral artery. LEFT SIDE: There is moderate calcified plaque in the left bifurcation and proximal internal carotid artery with no hemodynamically significant stenosis. Maximum PSV in the internal carotid is 60 cm/sec. Normal velocities in CCA and ECA. ICA/CCA ratio is 1.0 There is antegrade flow in the vertebral artery. IMPRESSION: Bilateral moderate calcified plaque. No hemodynamically significant stenosis is identified. ______________________________________ Electronically signed by:AAAAA B CCCCCC, MD Date: 01/01/1901 Time:14:38
